Weather SlateSelect the events that need weather
Not every appointment needs a forecast. An outdoor practice, garden party, or trip to a tournament may benefit; an indoor video call usually will not. The Weather Slate direction is to let people choose relevant calendars and events rather than treating the whole calendar as a weather task list.
Calendar integration is in development. The intended connection is one-way import: reading selected information to support Weather Plans, without creating, editing, or deleting the original calendar events.
A good location matters as much as a good time
Calendar locations are often informal. “Field 2” or “Grandma’s” may be meaningful to you without identifying an unambiguous weather location. A plan needs the correct place before a local forecast can be useful.
Check a resolved place against the actual venue. A nickname, duplicate town name, or office address left over from an earlier event can lead to the wrong outlook. Travel across time zones deserves the same care: the weather window must match the event’s intended local time.
Recurring events are not recurring weather
A weekly practice repeats on the calendar; its conditions do not. Review the relevant occurrence and confirm that changed times or venues have been reflected. A canceled or moved session should not keep driving your preparation.
Plans further into the future may not yet have complete forecast coverage. A partial outlook is a reason to check again, not a reason to fill the missing hours with assumptions.
Permission should be understandable
The approved Privacy Policy describes calendar access, local imported information, and the use of location text for geocoding. It also explains disconnection and retention. That policy describes data handling; it is not a claim that calendar integration is launch-ready.
