Weather Slate1. Using Weather Slate
These terms apply to the Weather Slate website and services offered by 4E2 LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By using those services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, stop using the services.
Weather Slate is intended for U.S. weather coverage. You are responsible for using a supported device, maintaining a connection when needed, and choosing appropriate device permissions. Weather Slate is not directed to children under 13; if you are under the age of legal majority, use the service with the permission of a parent or guardian.
For an app obtained through the App Store, the software license is governed by Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, unless the publisher supplies a different license through the App Store. These service terms do not replace rights or obligations under that license or applicable law.
2. Weather information and safety
Forecasts, radar, Weather Score, Weather Plans, Story, and alerts are informational tools. Conditions can change rapidly, and information may be delayed, incomplete, inaccurate, or unavailable.
Weather Score and suggested planning windows are not safety ratings. Notifications may not arrive, and the absence of an alert does not mean that a location is safe. Weather Slate is not an emergency warning system or a substitute for official warnings and instructions.
Use multiple reliable sources for weather-sensitive decisions. Follow the National Weather Service, local authorities, and emergency guidance. Do not use the app as your sole source for aviation, marine navigation, emergency response, or other high-risk activities.
Safety-based weather features remain free. A Plus purchase does not guarantee more accurate forecasts or reliable delivery of emergency information.
3. Optional Weather Slate Plus
Weather Slate can be used without Plus. Plus is planned for launch at US$2.99 per month or US$19.99 per 12 months. The 12-month plan is billed as one annual payment. Taxes may apply. Review the included features, final price, billing period, and any offer terms in the app and Apple’s purchase confirmation before subscribing.
For an auto-renewing subscription purchased through Apple, payment is charged to your Apple Account. The subscription renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account may be charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
You can manage or cancel an Apple-billed subscription in your Apple Account’s subscription settings. Deleting Weather Slate does not cancel a subscription. Access generally continues through the current paid period, subject to Apple’s terms. Any free trial is subject to the terms displayed with that offer.
Refund requests for Apple-billed purchases are handled through Apple’s refund process and applicable law. See Apple’s subscription cancellation help.
4. Acceptable use
Use Weather Slate lawfully. Do not interfere with its services, attempt unauthorized access, distribute malicious software, or misuse the app or website in a way that harms other users or the service. Any restrictions are subject to rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.
5. Content and third-party services
Weather Slate branding and original app and website content belong to the publisher or its licensors. Weather data, maps, software, and other third-party materials remain subject to their owners’ rights and applicable terms.
Links to other websites are provided for convenience. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices. Apple is not a party to these website/service terms; its role under the app’s software license is described in the applicable EULA.

6. Service availability and responsibility
Features and coverage may change, and maintenance, source outages, network interruptions, or device settings may affect availability. We do not promise uninterrupted service or error-free weather information.
To the extent allowed by applicable law, the services and weather information are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. Nothing here excludes rights, warranties, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
7. Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the service changes. The effective date above identifies the current version. We will provide additional notice where required. Changes do not remove any rights you have under applicable law.
